Must-visit places

Landmark wonders inside and outside Central Ayutthaya are Instagrammable must-visit spots, giving visitors a fun journey and more photo opportunities. The landmarks are designed with the “Thai Twist” concept, blending modernity with Ayutthaya’s unique charms inspired by local wisdom such as the twelve indented cornered stupas, Lai Yang woven fabric, lotus ponds and Thai pavilions. Central Ayutthaya is home to many day-to-night attractions to ensure a fun experience regardless of what time of the day of your visit.

Façade Design

Architectural Façade Design inspired by Twelve Indented Corners The façade design employs the unique and renowned architectural innovation of the Ayutthaya Kingdom to add indentations to each of the four corners of a Chedi, or a Buddhist stupa, multiplying the corners by three and resulting in a total of twelve corners for each stupa. The twelve indented cornered stupas, such as the one at Ayutthaya’s Golden Mount, are the exemplars of this architectural feature which influenced later Thai architectural works.
